What wouldn’t be better than great tips from a seller that has built a profitable business over the years?

How to Promote Fiverr Gigs

Who is Deaun?

Deaun Scott goes by the username Deaun1 on Fiverr and is rated 100% in all her sales. That’s pretty impressive seeing that she’s completed close to a thousand sales in the past year!
Deaun is a video production artist that specializes in high quality animation, intro videos, and short online commercials. At the time of this interview she offers 20 gigs on her profiles, all of which have 0 negative ratings and are delivered extremely fast. If she isn’t one of the top sellers on Fiverr, I don’t know who is!
In addition to managing her successful persona on Fiverr, Deaun also manages a Fiverr fan page dedicated to promoting other Fiverr sellers and a Youtube channel showcasing her own work on Fiverr. Yes you heard that correctly! Not only does Deaun have time to promote herself but she also has the devotion to promote others on Fiverr! By promoting herself as well as others, she can make her promotion system even more effective. Let’s see what she has to say about promoting Fiverr gigs.

How do you promote your own gigs on Fiverr?
Like most successful sellers on Fiverr, I promote heavily on social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube and I have recently started using Tumbler.  My main marketing strategy is to promote myself by promoting others.  I have a Facebook page called “The Best Gigs On Fiverr” which is dedicated to promoting some of the best sellers offering the best gigs. I never have any trouble coming up with great gigs to talk about.  I only have 20 gigs, so if I only talked about my own gigs, I would run out of content in a big hurry.
Some people say that there’s only one method that works for promoting your gigs and they don’t know it or it doesn’t work for them. Do you think that some methods are better than others or do you think that promotion can be achieved through any method as long as it is backed up by hard work?
I think promoting gigs can be done in a number of ways.  I certainly wouldn’t say that my way is the only way.  It’s simply the way I choose to do it and it works for me.
What are some of the promotion techniques sellers shouldn’t try or are bound to end up failing? Are there any?
SPAM…  Anytime you post links to your own gig in another discussion where it’s not invited in some way, that is SPAM.  I think it really detracts from the character of the seller.
That doesn’t mean that it’s never ok to post your link in a discussion or on another page.  Here are a couple questions to ask yourself if you’re not sure if posting your link could be considered SPAM.
1.  Is the purpose of this discussion to talk about a service someone else offers or to highlight someone else’s work?
Yes… Do not post your link – It’s most likely not welcome and would be considered SPAM
2.  Is the discussion asking for your help advice or input and is it relevant to the service     you offer?
Yes- It may be ok to post a link to your gig as long as it is relevant and ALSO helpful to    the person that started the discussion.
Remember SPAM is any email, comment or posting that is unsolicited.  If you want to write random stuff about yourself, you can write whatever you want on your own Facebook page, blog, twitter account etc.
